This is a compilation of histories for David Henry Murphey and Emma Elizabeth "Liz" Merley. There are two companion books related to this history through Pat Murphy, "Murphy & Croshaw History" and "Croshaw & Fisher History".

Remembering Whitney is a local history dealing with the small communities of Whitney and Whitney Junction in north Alabama. Whitney was a old railroad community and Whitney Junction covered the area around the intersection of what is now U.S. 231 and 9U.S. 11. The book was taken from interviews of people living in these communities in the 1990s.
